This beautiful carved green jade estate gourd pendant has a 14k yellow gold flower top and bail. Gourd is the symbol of mystery and necromancy. The image of a gourd worn around the neck or wrist is used as a charm to evoke longevity. In Chinese symbolism figures in the shape of gourds can be used for a lantern or if small as a charm or amulet to ward off evil. It is also a useful and practical thing.
