Limited Lifetime Jewelry Warranty

At Romans Jewelry, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry. We proudly offer a Free Limited Lifetime Warranty on eligible jewelry purchases against manufacturing defects under normal consumer wear for the reasonable wearable lifetime of the product, subject to the terms, conditions, limitations, and maintenance requirements outlined below.

This warranty applies only to jewelry purchased directly from Romans Jewelry and is valid only for the original purchaser with proof of purchase.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

If Romans Jewelry determines that a manufacturing defect exists, we will, at our sole discretion:

โ€ข Repair the item
โ€ข Replace the item with the same or a comparable item
โ€ข Issue non-refundable store credit equal to the original purchase price before taxes

If the original item is unavailable or discontinued, Romans Jewelry may substitute a comparable item or issue store credit at our discretion.

WARRANTY MAINTENANCE REQUIREMENTS (IMPORTANT)

To maintain active warranty coverage:

โ€ข Jewelry must be inspected and cleaned by Romans Jewelry every six (6) months
โ€ข Inspections must be documented in our system
โ€ข Customers are responsible for scheduling and obtaining required inspections

Failure to maintain regular inspections may void warranty coverage, especially for loose, damaged, or lost stones, worn prongs, thinning metal, or structural damage.

If maintenance has lapsed for longer than six (6) months, any necessary repairs required to safely restore the jewelry must be completed at the customerโ€™s expense before warranty coverage may be reinstated.

Complimentary inspections and cleanings are available while you wait at our Folsom and Placerville locations.

Jewelry may also be shipped to Romans Jewelry for inspection and cleaning at the customerโ€™s expense and risk.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

This warranty does not cover:

โ€ข Normal wear and tear including scratches, dents, worn or bent prongs, thinning metal, stretched chains, broken clasps, or misshapen rings
โ€ข Cracked, chipped, or broken stones
โ€ข Stone loss caused by wear, impact, bent prongs, damage, or lack of maintenance
โ€ข Damage caused by improper care, misuse, abuse, chemical exposure, pools, hot tubs, gym use, housework, gardening, sleeping in jewelry, or cosmetics
โ€ข Accidental damage, trauma, or impact damage
โ€ข Tarnishing or discoloration caused by environmental exposure or chemicals
โ€ข Loss or theft
โ€ข Water damage
โ€ข Jewelry showing excessive wear, neglect, abuse, or physical damage

Romans Jewelry reserves the sole right to determine whether damage is caused by manufacturing defect, normal wear, misuse, or accidental damage.

UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS OR MODIFICATIONS

Any repair, resizing, modification, soldering, stone setting, or service performed by a third party immediately voids this warranty in full.

EXCLUDED MATERIALS

Due to the inherent properties of certain materials, the following are excluded from lifetime warranty coverage:

โ€ข Soft or semi-precious gemstones
โ€ข Titanium
โ€ข Tungsten
โ€ข Stainless steel
โ€ข Cobalt
โ€ข Ceramic
โ€ข Tantalum
โ€ข Carbon fiber
โ€ข Rubber
โ€ข Leather

Service or repair for these items may be available at an additional charge and at our discretion.

OWNERSHIP LIMITATION

This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.

Proof of original purchase from Romans Jewelry is required for all warranty claims.

Any resale, transfer, or assignment of ownership immediately voids all warranty coverage.

RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE

Romans Jewelry reserves the right to refuse repair, resizing, warranty work, trade-in, upgrade, or service on any item deemed excessively worn, structurally compromised, improperly maintained, unsafe to repair, or previously altered by third parties.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

โ€ข Liability is strictly limited to the original purchase price before taxes
โ€ข Romans Jewelry shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
โ€ข No warranties, express or implied, extend beyond those stated in this document

INSURANCE RECOMMENDATION

We strongly recommend obtaining jewelry insurance coverage against loss, theft, accidental damage, and major stone loss, as these situations are not covered under this warranty.

Complimentary insurance appraisals and appraisal updates are available upon request for jewelry purchased from Romans Jewelry.

NATURAL DIAMOND UPGRADE POLICY

Eligible loose natural diamonds purchased from Romans Jewelry may be upgraded for 100% of the original diamond purchase price toward a new natural diamond valued at least 50% greater than the original purchase price.

Requirements:

โ€ข Original proof of purchase required
โ€ข Original GIA grading certificate required
โ€ข Diamond must be in saleable condition

If the original GIA certificate is missing, a replacement fee of $295 may be deducted from the upgrade value.

Exclusions:

โ€ข Lab-grown diamonds
โ€ข Colored gemstones
โ€ข Mounted diamonds
โ€ข Side stones

Taxes apply to the full retail value of the new diamond before upgrade credit is applied.

RING RESIZING POLICY

Romans Jewelry offers one complimentary resizing up to two (2) full sizes within one (1) year of purchase on most gold and platinum rings.

Exclusions may include eternity bands, vintage rings, engraved rings, intricate settings, and alternative metals.

Additional resizing or future resizing may incur additional charges.

All resized rings are final sale.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

Eligible items may be returned within fourteen (14) days of purchase for refund, exchange, or store credit provided the item is unworn, unaltered, undamaged, and includes all original packaging, certificates, paperwork, and receipt. Please refer to the Romans Jewelry Return Policy for full details.

Romans Jewelry reserves the right to refuse any return showing signs of wear, alteration, damage, missing documentation, or missing packaging.

Holiday purchases made between November 20 and December 25 may be returned through January 15 if all return conditions are met.

TRADE-IN POLICY

Romans Jewelry may offer trade-in value, purchase offers, or store credit for jewelry and watches based on current market conditions and item condition, at our sole discretion.

ABANDONED ITEMS

Items left unclaimed for more than ninety (90) days after notification of completion may be considered abandoned. Romans Jewelry reserves the right, where permitted by law, to sell or otherwise dispose of abandoned items to recover repair, storage, or related costs.

POLICY CHANGES

Romans Jewelry reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue warranty policies, services, pricing, and program terms at any time without prior notice.

Any valid warranty claim will be evaluated based on the policy in effect at the original date of purchase.
