Mail-In Watch Repair Services

At Romans Jewelry, we understand that entrusting your watch to us by mail requires confidence. Many of the timepieces we service feature complex mechanical or quartz movements and precision components. Every repair is handled with the highest level of craftsmanship, care, and discretion.

To ensure your experience is seamless and secure, please follow the instructions below carefully.

Step 1 – Complete the Repair Form

Providing thorough details allows our team to evaluate your watch accurately and begin the process efficiently.

Step 2 – Package Your Watch with Care

Proper packaging is essential to protect your watch in transit.

• Wrap the watch securely in a soft cloth and/or bubble padding to protect it from scratches and impact during transit. Make sure the watch is fully cushioned, especially around the case and crystal, and that it cannot move freely inside the packaging.
• Place it inside a sturdy box (do not use envelopes)
• Do not include original boxes, papers, or accessories unless specifically requested
• Include a printed copy of your completed repair form
• Seal the package securely

Step 3 – Ship with Tracking, Insurance & Signature Confirmation

For your protection and ours, all mail-in repairs must be shipped with:

• Active tracking
• Signature confirmation
• Insurance for the full replacement value of the watch

Important:
• Customers are responsible for all shipping costs (to and from Romans Jewelry)
• We do not provide prepaid labels for mail-in repairs
• Romans Jewelry is not responsible for items lost, stolen, or damaged in transit prior to confirmed delivery

After Your Item Arrives

Upon receipt, your watch will be logged into our system, photographed for condition documentation, and professionally inspected by our watch technicians.

If an estimate is required, we will contact you promptly for approval before proceeding.

Please note:
• A diagnostic/inspection fee may apply for certain watches or complex evaluations
• This fee will be communicated prior to proceeding

Once authorized, your repair will be completed with the same attention to detail and quality standards that define Romans Jewelry.

Estimated turnaround time:
Approximately 3–4 weeks, depending on complexity, parts availability, and seasonal volume.

Payment & Authorization

• Repairs will not begin without customer approval
• Full payment is required prior to return shipment
• Once approved, cancellations may not be possible if work has already begun

Return Shipping

• All completed repairs will be returned via insured, trackable shipping with signature confirmation
• Shipping carrier is selected at Romans Jewelry discretion unless otherwise requested
• Customers assume responsibility for delivery once marked as delivered

Additional Information

• We accept a wide range of watch brands; however, certain repairs may be limited by parts availability or manufacturer restrictions
• We reserve the right to decline any repair that may compromise the structural integrity or serviceability of a watch
• We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, water damage discovered during service, or normal wear to straps, bracelets, or cosmetic components unless specifically requested
• Water resistance is not guaranteed unless explicitly requested and tested as part of the service
• Items sent without a completed repair form may experience delays

Unclaimed Items Policy

Completed repairs not picked up or paid for within 90 days of notification may be subject to storage fees and/or considered abandoned in accordance with California law
